Paislee Shae 6 pounds 6 ounces

We went into the hospital on May 25 for a scheduled induction. I didn't really know what to think about it, besides the fact that I was nervous but so excited at the same time! I was hooked up to the IV at 9:30 and Paislee was born by 3:29 pm. I can't begin to describe what an amazing experience it is to bring a baby into this world. I'm so so grateful to be a mom and to have a wonderful husband that is so devoted to his girls!

I've made it....35 WEEKS!

These last few weeks have been quite a roller coaster, going in and out of the doctors and labor and delivery! I'm so proud that I've officially made it to 35 weeks. I had an appointment yesterday and the doc did an ultrasound and said that she looks good. He said that if I go into labor they won't stop it anymore wahoooo!!!! It was so fun seeing Paislee on the ultrasound screen. I didn't think that we were going to be able to get another ultrasound but I was measuring small again so he wanted to make sure everything was looking okay. Now that it's actually okay for her to come, I have this feeling she just might chill in my belly to full term! Ahh I really hope that doesn't happen, I'm getting extremely uncomfortable and can't sleep worth crap at night. While taking it easy these last few weeks I started making flowers for headbands. It's been so much fun, I love being crafty:) Now I just need to make the bands to clip the flowers too.

Best Buddies

Cash just thinks that Jeff is the coolest thing on this earth. (I think Jeff loves the attention he gets from Cash too:) They are like two peas in a pod. Cash loves to read books and whenever Jeff is sitting down he will come bring him a book and sit on his lap. Jeff is going to be an awesome Daddy! We can't wait to bring Paislee into this world and have a wittle friend for Cash to look after. Hopefully he won't thump on her:)

Early Contractions

Last week I got rear ended in our new car! It scared me more than anything because I was worried about Paislee. The damage wasn't bad on the outside but there ended up being under body damage so the bumper was replaced. Just to be cautious we went to labor and delivery and I started having contractions. They monitored Paislee's heartbeat for about 4 hours then they sent us home because I hadn't dialated and she looked fine. One week later (last night) I had an anxiety feeling (what a surprise) that I should go into my doctor and be checked again to make sure everything was okay. Good thing we went because my doctor checked me and I was dialated to almost a 3! The doctor got a little worried and gave me a steroid shot to progress Paislee's lung development in case I go into labor in the next 10 days or so. He also put me on bed rest for the rest of the week at least. We went home after the doctor appoinment and I started having contractions consistently. So we went back to labor and delivery and they hooked me up to monitors and I was having contractions every 2-3 minutes but I hadn't dialated bigger so they eventually sent me home. This morning they had me come back in to the doctor again to check my cervix and I'm still the same. I have to get another steroid shot later on today and I guess just take it easy for the next bit til my appointment on Monday. The doctor said everyday that I can keep her in will help alot so that's what were trying to do!

Baby Shower

Cash was so funny! He thought all of the presents were for him. He would run up to me and take it and rub the soft blankets on his face and go into the corner and suck his thumb:) I wonder how he will do when he has a little cousin to share with?!

I got the cutest stuff for my baby shower. I'm so grateful for my family and friends that came! My sister spent so much time making food, cleaning the house, and getting everything ready. I really appreciate it Sis, thank you! Paislee will look so cute in all of her fun outfits that she got. Thanks to Mom Stacy and Aunt Shauna for making the adorable blankets, I love them!

40-32=8 WEEKS LEFT!!!!

Let me just tell you all how excited we are to have Paislee come into this world! The time is getting closer and we can't believe we're going to be parents. We are so happy and grateful to welcome her into our little family:) I've been getting a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions lately. They are so weird! My belly goes lopsided and super hard. We've been able to feel her legs, bum, and arms too. It makes it so much more real. Jeff loves feeling Paislee, he says it gives him butterflies:)
We stayed at my parents this weekend for Easter and Cash loves playing with pots and pans so Amber got him a kitchen set for Easter (which Matt didn't like the idea so much.) He loves playing in Ambers kitchen stuff though so she thought it would be fun for him. He is such a cute bugger. We just love him! He is starting to say words now like, "dog, mmmmm, Dad, Mom, amen!, and up." He definitely keeps us on our toes running around my parents house like a wild man!

My Mom is so excited for Paislee to come that her and my Dad went and bought a crib for my room at their house and she decorated the crib all cute in flowers and polka dots. I just love it. My Mom keeps saying, "so when are we going to have Paislee in there?" I can't wait for her to be here and use it, I'm sure she'll love it too!

We were finally able to sell our VW and get a new car that's hopefully more reliable and we're very grateful:) We want to keep this car for a long time! We are hoping we don't have any more headaches for awhile.

Our life has been so busy lately! Well I guess I haven't been super busy but Jeff has. He got a job at a skilled nursing facility as an HR/payroll/accounts payable manager. It's an entry level job to hopefully get him into the administrator training program that the facility has. He loves his job! I'm so proud of him, he has so much on his plate right now and I'm grateful for how hard he works. He is working at UPS, going to school, then going to his HR job. I can't wait for him to graduate the end of April so I can see him more often. Although he will still have 2 more classes left called "capstone" classes for the ending of his degree that go until August, I will be able to see him alot more so I'm excited!
