The Beauty of Owning a Volkswagen

Dear Blog,

I need to let out my frustration somehow besides screaming from the top of my lungs at work! It all started this morning. Jeff drove my car to work and as he was driving home, the battery light on the dash kept blinking so he was thinking, oh great here we go again, another thing wrong with Brits car! So he got home and popped the hood and long and behold the serpentine belt that we had replaced only 2 months ago had busted and melted rubber all inside the engine. So were thinking sweet, it's only going to be $60 this time to fix the monthly problems we have with this stupid thing. Jeff called my Dad, my dad helped diagnose the problem as best he could over the phone and what he came up with is the waterpump went out which caused the serpentine belt to seize up so we not only have to replace a $60 belt but we also have to get the waterpump fixed ($600)! AHHHHH! Seriously, I hate VW's! If it's not one problem one month, the next month it's something different. So....the car is not able to be driven so we had to call a tow company and have them come tow the thing up to our mechanic in Lehi. I NEVER, NEVER, NEVER, EVER would recommend a Volkswagen to ANYONE, unless you have money to get it fixed every month!!!! Woooohhhh, I feel a little better now:)

3rd Trimester!

So it seems like every few weeks I crave something different. This week it's pancakes with spray butter and lots of syrup! Last week it was Gushers, Fruit by the Foot, and Oh's cereal (my favorite, it makes my mouth water just thinking about them:) It seems like I'm hungry all of the time and my mood swings are getting more frequent! Ahhh I feel like a basket case some days. My poor husband. The blessing of having a baby totally outweighs the not so fun things we go through so it's all good! Jeff and I are getting so excited to see Paislee and be a mommy and daddy. This last 3 months is going to be hard because we are getting so anxious! Hopefully time flies by so fast, until then I need to take a chill pill and relax:)

Jeff got an internship at Utah Valley Orthopedics and Sports Medicine outpatient facility. He's been SO busy lately! He gets done with school in July and he has started looking for jobs. He wants to be a health care administrator, basically he would be over a medical facility and manage the operations within that facility. His long term goal is to go back to school and get his Masters in Business Administration within the next couple of years. I'm so proud of him and I'm glad he's accomplishing his goals!

26 weeks

I'm so excited to be a mommy! The process of our little muffin baking in my oven seems to be taking forever! Oh well, it's definitely worth it. The last few days I've started having Braxton Hicks contractions. It's so weird. My belly tightens up in one spot and it goes lop-sided! It looks really funny:) but it doesn't hurt, it just kindof feels like a cramped muscle, that goes hard as a rock! I wonder what REAL contractions will feel like (thank goodness for epidurals!)

Jeff is the greatest husband ever, I feel so lucky and blessed to be married to him. He is such a hard worker! I've been wanting Paislee's room painted so I can put up her bedding and start making her room look cute, so this weekend Jeff spent all day painting her room. This morning we put her crib bedding together and I just love it! We're so excited to have Paislee in our lives, we feel very blessed to be new parents soon! Jeff also refinished and antiqued her changing table which I also love, thanks babe!

Superbowl!

Superbowl Sunday was so much fun because my Mom spent all day Saturday making food for it! She is the best cook ever! It was better than Thanksgiving dinner:) We were rooting for the Colts because Jeff knows Austin Collie from the MTC and they grew up living close together so he is a big fan! Jeff was "Mr. Jeff the Chef" helping my Mom cook in the kitchen. He is a great cook too! We had so much food, it was great!

6 months pregnant!

I'm finally 6 months pregnant! Wahoo! I feel like its gone by so slow! I just want our wittle girl to be here:) She has started kicking so much and I just love it! It's so exciting to see my tummy move. Today we finally cleaned out her closet and hung up some of her cute little outfits. Maybe in a month or two I can get Jeff to paint her room! Jeffs parents gave us money to go towards a travel system and we've been looking and looking to find the right one and we FINALLY bought one today. I can't wait to put it together. Being pregnant is so much fun!
